REFFRACTEUR - Digital REFractory FRAmework for a Carbon‑neutral and Resilient indusTry in EURope (2026-2030)

Following the ATHOR (2017-2022) and CESAREF (2022-2026) European projects, we are pleased to inform you that we have successfully secured a new Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Doctoral Network:</p>
<p>REFFRACTEUR – Digital REFractory FRAmework for a Carbon‑neutral and Resilient indusTry in EURope (2026-2030), coordinated at IRCER and starting in October 2026.</p>
<p>Within this major European programme, 15 fully funded PhD positions are currently open across a consortium of leading academic institutions and industrial partners in Europe. REFFRACTEUR addresses key scientific and technological challenges related to refractory materials and high‑temperature industries, including:</p>
<p>Thermomechanical behaviour under severe operating conditions<br />
Advanced high‑temperature experimental characterisation<br />
Numerical modelling and digital approaches (AI, digital twins)<br />
Circularity and sustainability<br />
👉 Beyond the scientific topics, it is important to highlight that a PhD within an MSCA Doctoral Network is not a standard PhD: it offers a structured European training environment, strong academic-industrial integration, and extensive international exposure, providing an excellent basis for both academic and industrial careers.</p>
